Wide Awake

Had this is my drafts since March from the Wide Awake Conference. Wonderful speakers and had a lovely time with Estephanie. I need to go to adoration more. I definitely spend too much time thinking about going instead of going! I need to work on that. Anyways, that day ended up being so much fun and Stephanie and I took so many photos around the area. It was a beautiful day no doubt. 

It makes me so very happy to get this e-mail from my professor. Our clinical instructor hurt her back and thus we were unable to go to our first day of clincials. However, we had an amazing opportunity to spend time with one of our professors in stimulation lab. I learn so much from her and I was so excited to learn! She even went ahead and taught us how to prepare and administer some meds and we even practiced doing iv pushes! I may look back at this and see what a basic intervention but I am so wide-eyed excited to be able to do such things! I am very blessed to have this professor and this e-mail, although directed to ten of us, also made me feel closer to her after being picked on quite a few times. It's been a crazy week but it's been such a learning experience!

Rocks and Sand in Our Socks

Everytime I go to Torrey Pines State Reserve I always feel the greatness of God's creation. After running numerous errands, taking a hike with Kelli and Julie was really nice and the weather was just perfect. We even saw a little art statue made out of rocks! It was quite cute and was able to withstand the waves around it. Very impressive.
I am going to try to be more active outdoors. Why not just use what God has given us and just enjoy his Glory?! I have also been jogging around Lake Miramar and it's such a great feeling.

I couldn't help myself so two days later as I was driving to Miramar I decided to turn around and drive to Torrey to do my run!

Also, Chely from SoCal Country is inspiring me to blog more so I might just do that!

Lover of the Light

Mumford & Sons new music video for "Lover Of The Light" perfectly encompasses my idea of the velvet sunshine. To realize once again how blissful that light is, how happy and calm and peaceful it can be is what I visualize when I think that of that state of serenity. And I think Idris Elba did a wonderful job of showing that in video as the character and as a director. Out of the songs in Babel I always was drawn to this song but after connecting these two things it will always have a special place for me.

I think I've decided what I'm going to do this blog. Any moment where I can feel that same feeling as I did in that moment when I was a child, when the sun was wrapped around me, I will include on here. It could be about certain days or people, or even just thoughts. Today it's about my friends which I love so dearly. We recently went (besides Andrew) to Oceanside Pier and had lunch at Ruby's and took photos. The day was perfect and screams of warmth from the sun and form the heart !~~ how corny haha
